Later in the show, American Primitive echoes of those ritualistic Orthodox chants emerge from the Late John Fahey (1997).
90's and 2000's Japanese psych jams (Altered States and White Heaven) weave around New musique concrète compositions from JJJJJerome Ellis.
John Coltrane's monumental March 1965 recording of One Down, One Up from the Half Note makes up the second half of tonight's experiment. Stick around for the extended drums/sax duo of this in the latter half of the track, the interplay between Coltrane and Elvin Jones is truly cosmic. Ravi Coltrane says this performance "remains one of my favorite musical performances of all time".
